AutoCAD 2013/2014 DWG Format

Good morning,

I just started getting this ssue with AutoCAD 2013 on DELL XPS 8300 with Windows 7 Pro.

The loading screen will say "Loading Plug-in... ACDgnLsTrans.dbx"  and will hang on this for between 5 and 15 minutes.

What is the solution to this problem?

Hi,

try to login to your workstation with another Windows-user account, this user should have (true) admin-rights, plus turn off antivirus software before starting AutoCAD.

If you don't have a network-license also disconnect the workstartion from network (for this test).

Solution:

We added the identified file to the excluded file list in the AV profile. 

Most centrally managed Anti Virus programs have a “white list”.

Apparently I was mistaken

I started experiencing the problem again and so I re-set ACAD back to default values and re-customized it item by item.

All was great until I opened the XREF manager. It  took 1.5 mins to open the dialog box. once open I closed my acad session. I resatrted acad and sure enough it hung up on the AcDgnLsTrans.dbx file.

There appears to be a problem with my xref manager.

Any suggestions?

That did not help

It appears that it may nothing at all to do with AV.

I ran the repair install and that did not help either.

so I may have found a solution.

I reset back to ACAD defaults and started over but this time I opened the XREF Manager (which works fine at this stage of the game) and left it open.

I started re-building my customization and while I was mapping to my network drives it started again after I added my "FONT" folder.

As long as I don't map to those fonts I'm good.

I don't know why, it just is.

At least for now.

The folder contains 467 items and is 321 mb

82 .shx files (6 mb)

10 .fon files (249kb)

1 .otf file (41kb)

1 .pfb file (27kb)

1 .sitx file (96kb)

8 .ttc files (hmmm these equal 125 mb)

364 .TTF files (188mb)
