Arc Aligned Text is available in the full version of AutoCAD in the Express Tools.  I think I've read somewhere that the Express Tools are not available on any of the Mac versions of AutoCAD.

There are no express tools on the MAC version, no matter how hard you try or whether you have a "full" version. You need to be posting at the MAC forum, this one here is for Windows users: http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/AutoCAD-for-Mac/bd-p/520

I heard that AutoCAD for MAC can use plain AutoLISP but not Visual LISP.

Attached are 2 lisp routines you can try
