Hey all,
I am not computer savvy at all. I am having trouble with loading apps, specifically the ddshapes lisp. I understand I need a different formant, the .bundle. But i cant figure out how to make the xml doc and how to make it work with my 2013. I need pretty dumbed down step by step instructions. And help on where to put what files. Any help is grealy appreciaed!
Thanks,
Hales

I'm not familar with that lisp, but I did find one by that name, downloaded and unzipped it, added the folder for the unzipped files to AutoCAD2013's support path, then Apploaded ddshapes.lsp. It seems to work, but I'm not sure it's the same thing you have because there are no xml/doc files included.

So i followed what you did. I downloaded and unzipped the file. I placed it in the support folder under autocad 2013 and the loaded the app. The load was sucessfull and it recognizes the command but here is the response.
Command: DDSHAPES
Error: bad argument type: stringp nil
any thoughts?
The xml comment was me thinking I needed the .bundle setup.
where did youDL your ddshapes lisp from?

I just Googled the lisp name and came up with this. There are 11 files in the zip, they should all be in the same support folder
What OS are you running. I have a vague recollection of maybe having to install something in Windows7 to get some of my older lisps to work.

Cool.... nobody gets that right the first time.
If you like that one, you may like Al's Steel Mill even better. Be aware that both of these are pretty old, and some of the steel dimensions (beams) may be a bit different that what's currently produced. You can check/update the sizes yourself by editing the files... I re-did all the W-Beams in Steel Mill as I needed the beam depths to always round up to the nearest 1/16th.
