3D trim newbie! help!

Hi! i'm a Autocad 3D newbie! Have some problems to figure out how to trim a solid from a sphere. well here's an image that will explain better!( it's the pink part from the green)

Trim doesn't work, use SUBTRACT

the subtract command subtracts the whole pink solid and leaves the empty shape in the sphere, I just need to cut the part that sticks out from the bottom of the sphere!

Thanks for the challenge, it was not as EZ as I thought.
I had to make a copy of the model, SUBTRACT the unwanted parts, then SEPARATE them, after that I move them back to the original position.
