Hi,
welcome @forums.autodesk.com !
>> getting the following error
When do you get that error? (during startup, while working, with specific drawings, with specific commands, ...)
How often do you get that error?
What are your system specs?
Have you installed the latest servicepack for your AutoCAD (>>>click<<<)
The more info you give the higher the chance we can help.

Dell i5 , 8GB RAM, 500 GB SATA
only a month old
Installed Autocad 2014 when we setup the tower
the user had no problems until trying to use the feature from the toolbar/ribbon
called "materials browser" , then seached and selected a color
that is when the error corrurs and the program crashes
Hi,
I guess installing the service pack might help.
What OS does your user have?

everytime we have an error or a few dozen errors upon startup go to the start menu, programs, autocad/autodesk folder.., and run "Reset Settings to Default"
for windows 8 go to C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\AutoCAD Mechanical 2014 - English (or equivalent) and run the same "Reset Settings..." item.
We installed autocad 2014 on a new computer and when the user goes into and uses the materials browser she gets an error and the program crashes: unhanded exception
Hi,
>> why there is no support for this new product from autdesk
Have you asked them yet?If so you really didn't get an answer?
I don't think if you log into your subscription center and create a support request that you don't get an answer!
BTW: have you tried the suggestion from autocad.phil (resetting the AutoCAD profile)?
You might also create a new login account for your Windows, with full admin permission ... then login with that account, turn off antivirus software, start AutoCAD and try it again the function.
If that does not work then either start a repair installation or uninstall (clean uninstall) and reinstall AutoCAD.
Good luck, - alfred -
To add, tech support comes from the CAD VAR (authorized reseller firm) that sold you the software. They have professionals/engineers there waiting to help. They will even call you to go thru step by step until it's working, or they will contact autodesk for you.
With subscription, the tech support is from the same CAD VAR and also Autodesk.
If bought from a general-purpose (not CAD) internet/online store... that might be a big problem (they don't know CAD) but you can always use this forum as mentioned.
Worst case, go to the top (first post) and hit the Report Inappropriate Content button/link and ask for directions on where you can get help.
