Hi
I noticed that somehow some dimensions has one grip point whilst the other has several grip points on the same drawing. I tried to find out the cause why the dimension is different with no success. It is not good to have the dim with one grip point as its only function is to move the dim and the option to stretch etc is lost. (see attached cad drawing showing horizontal dim with several grip points and vertical dim with only one grip point). Could anybody explain why this is happening and what is the command to restore the dim with several grip points.
The only different between the two dims I noticed is Z=-1.00E+99 whilst the other one is Z=0.00. Could this be the problem? If so, I don't appear to see how to bring the Z back to 0.00

Looks like that's the problem.
To bring the objects Z back to 0
try the following
at the command line type
CHANGE
Select Dimension or select All , Enter
then P for properties , Enter
and E for elevation, Enter
and set the new value to 0
