continuous lines turns dashed on cursor movement

hello,

i'm using AutoCAD 2014. as soon as i move my cursor/pointer over any drawing, the lines turns into fade small-dashed lines. i've kept the linetype as continuous.

when i'm zooming-in/out the lines turns into proper continuous lines. but again i bring the cursor over the drawing, those portions of the continuous lines turns dotted!! its very disturbing to work like this. please help.

p.s. this problem is happening with curved lines and angled straight lines. the straight lines made in x/y-axes are unaffected.

Hello

Welcome to the Autodesk/AutoCAD Forums !

1) Have you tried to "run" with SELECTIONPREVIEW = 2 - Any difference ?

2) Have you tried to "run" with Graphic Harware Acceleration OFF - Any difference ?

A few questions :

Q1) Which Windows exactly : Win XP Pro , Win Seven , Win 8.0 , Win 8.1 ?

Q2) 32 or 64 bits ?

Q3) Which graphic card ? Which driver version ??

Q4) Have you installed the SP 1 on your ACAD 2014 ?

Hello

When you run with "Graphic Harware Acceleration OFF", have you the problem ?

Please work a little bit ...

Because you speak about OFF then going back to ON immediateley !

ALL Autodesk Software (like Microsoft, etc) , have Service Pack or Update Pack, and it is better to run the software with the latest "Patch" !

So ...

Q1) Have you downloaded and installed the latest AMD driver for your graphic card ?

Q2) Which values for the following System variables : DRAGP1 , DRAGP2 , DRAGMODE ?

Q3) Could you work a little bit with ROLLOVERTIPS = 0 (Tips Off) , QPMODE = 0 (Quick Properties Off)
