Zoom to text: in viewport

Hi,

I have a quick question : Is it possible to find and zoom to text without switching back to the model space.

ie I am in a viewport in paperspace and i want to find text which resides in model space.  I want to zoom to that text in the currently active viewport and not switch to its location in model space.

Any help here would be great

Thanks

Seek the "FIND" command.  It will list the words you want to find and tell you where they are and also when you click the FIND button find it will automatically zoom to it for editing whether its in paper space or model space.  You will not be taken out of paper space when you are finished with the command.

Or you can lock the viewport which enables you to activate the viewport and zoom and pan as you please without leaving the layout tab.
