Good day,
I have been having problems with a couple of drawings.
My system is as follows:
i7-4770 CPU @3.40 ghz, 8GB RAM, 64-bit Operating System.
The IT Department has just changed my video card to an ATI Firepro v5800, and the problem is still there.
The problem:
I have a drawing loaded with 6 PDFs sized so that I may copy the piping/ventillation systems off of them. I keep them loaded as managers keep asking for other information the PDFs have. When I zoomn in and out using the wheel of the mouse, the drawing hesitates, and zooms in slowly and in steps. It will zoom in about 2x then wait, then 2x, then wait, then 2x............ anyway, you get the idea.
Am I fated to have these zooming problems because I loaded my drawing with PDFs, or is there something I can do to correct or ease the problem?

I suspect you have unloaded the PDFs and the problem goes away, right?
That is just the nature of PDF references, they make display changes s l o w....

I had what I think is a similar problem when using my GPU on my laptop. I had to switch which graphics card AutCAD was using to my integrated intel graphics.
Take a look at this thread I posted to see if it is the same problem you are having.
