What happened to the on screen spacing option when using rectangular array

Hi

I have just upgraded from Acad 2012 to Acad 2015 and am disappointed that the very usefull feature of being able to set the space between rectangularly arrayed items manually on screen seems to be no longer available.

Can anyone show me where and how I can retrieve this option?

Cheers

Are you looking for ARRAYCLASSIC command?

No, I use a rectangular array when I need to space out bolt holes equally on a flange or something. This saves me having to figure it out by dividing the distance by the number of holes. In 2012 I just used to set the number of rows/columns then stretch the item being arrayed to the last position required. and hey presto the programme would then set out equidistant items along the distance required.

cheers

Once the array is made, pick on it once, hover over the grip arrows to the extremities of the array, select Total Column (or Row) Spacing, drag where you want it.  You can establish a different base point if desired.

Thanks Grant,

Tjhe only downside to your solution is that your array has to be on associative. Any ideas how to accomplish it without leaving the associative option on?

That is the beauty of associative array so why not just use that from now on?

No way! It's such an arse-ache when you then need to modify/trim one of the components. have to explodethem each time.
