Viewport scale from properties window.

I just upgraded from 2012 to 2014. I typically would adjust the viewport scale from the dropdown in the properties window. In 2014 it is now giving me a live preview in the viewport as I highlight each scale choice. This slows me down considerably when there are many annotative/civil objects in the viewport. 2012 did not do this, there must be a setting somewhere to turn off this preview? Does anyone know?

Try locking the display in the viewport properties.

You can not change the scale of a viewport when the viewport is locked.

Nevermind I found the answer in another thread. set 'propertypreview' to off.

Why are some autocad variables controlled by 1 and 0 and others by off or on. The inconsistency within Autocad seems ludicrous. As though it were designed by 1000 different groups working independantly on different features, and come time for a new version everyone just mashes whatever they have done into a program and charges thousands of dollars for whatever it is they have this year.
