VB.NET value to Autolisp variable

I need to know how I can send a value obtained in VB.net to a variable contained in an AutoLISP routine. I have seen a couple of extreamly long codes online however I need to know how to do this in its most basic form (even if that points to an external link).

BTW I see the forum has changed significatly since I used it a while back so my appologies if my question has ended up in the wrong group\ catagorie

You could save it to one of the USER variables in VB then read it back in in lisp.
