Using RText

I'm looking for an RText expert.  Is there a way to use remote text in a drawing to display the last saved date?  Specifically what I'm looking for is regarding standard details: as part of these drawings (very small in nature) we currently use a "hand-edit" method for updating the details date.  I would like to insert a remote text object that would be tied to the last-saved date.  Hopefully this would "stick" when the block is inserted into a drawing.  I assume it won't work properly if the block is exploded, but it might be a start.

Fixing users tends to be problematic, so I thought this route might be easier!Smiley Wink

Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance!

First off I'll state that I've never used RTEXT so I'm not an expert, but if I understand you correctly, you could do what you want by inserting a FIELD. You could make it an attribute in a block or insert it directly into the dwg.
