Sheet Set - Change Viewport from Rectangular to Polygon w/o Losing View Title

Using sheet set manager I drag a vew onto the sheet in paper space and the viewport is always rectangular. Since you can't edit a rectangular viewport I want to create a polyline viewport.

But if I do that and match the viewport properties it will look fine until I delete the original viewport.  Then suddenly my view title loses it's link and just displays ###### for the title and sacale.

Is there a way to link that view title with the new poly viewport?

Currently I have been getting around this by keeping the original viewport on paperspace off in the corner but making it small and on a no-print layer. I just worry about someone else deleting that little viewport and then the link will get broken.

Draw the shape you want on top of the viewport.  Use the CLIP command.
