Several minor editing issues

Hello,

This morning I was working on a few CAD drawings, everything was working the way it should. In the middle of editing one of my drawings, I noticed a few things that I had lost the ability to do:

- Delete objects by simply selecting them and hitting the Delete button on my keyboard

- Move objects by selecting them and dragging them with my mouse

- Editing text objects by double clicking them

I have tried restarting AutoCAD several times, even rebooting my computer. I have gone into Options and ensured that 'Double Click Editing' is enabled and that 'Allow press and drag on object' is enabled.

I am unsure why all of a sudden this has occured, but it certainly is annoying, as three of those things save me tons of time when editing my drawings. Any insight into this problem would be helpful.

Thanks.

What Patchy said.

I guess my post this morning was timely.

Thanks!

That did it! Not sure why the value was set to 0 all of a sudden...

Layer is locked, that's all I can think of.

I thought that as well, not it.  if i right click on a selected text string i can execute the textedit command and it works.  I just cannot edit text by double clicking on the text string like i did in 2015.

i have also discovered that double clicking on a block will not open the block editor as it once did.

If DBLCLKEDIT is 1 and it doesn't work, look into QAFLAGS variable if you're using autolisp, make sure it's setting at 0
