BLOCK command and make a block out of it/them, give it a name

INSERT that block name and follow the prompt for X and Y scale.

Group is not a block.

The easiest way is to copy the 3D objects to clipbpard (Ctrl+C) a paste them back as a block (_PASTEBLOCK). Then change the Z-scale property of the pasted block using the Properties palette (Ctrl+1) - see the sphere+cube scaled in Z:

Do that all the time to fake items on a 45 degree angle.

X = .707
