Rendering Problems

Hey so currently I am trying to render a 2D layout of something, but many of the lines and arrays do not appear, it is also very dark.

What is the best way to fix this?

Are you actually rendering, or just attempting to capture an image?

well I'm attempting to capture a high quality image, but a screenshot is too low res.

And yes, I am using the render function.

Rendering is for 3D objects, so performance with 2D objects like dimensions and text will naturally be poor.

Print to PDF or DWF, both of which can be embedded directly as high-quality content or snipped to an image.  I'd also suggest a more useable image format such as PNG instead of BMP.

I tried the print DWF to PDF and it only generated a very blobby, low resolution file...

Hi,

>> I tried the print DWF to PDF and it only generated a very blobby, low resolution file...

That is not enough information, therefor we need to know:

  • what page size have you set for printing?
  • what resolution have you defined in the DWF or PDF driver (and what driver have you used)?
  • what is "low resolution" for you, how do you measure it and what resolution are you expecting?

Getting the drawing and the DWF you got as result would be the best for us to help you.
