Publish multiple pages

Hi,

I'm using Window 7 Home edition and AutoCAD 2014.

When I publish multiple pages with either pdf or printing, it only prints the first layout.  I tried to repair/reinsalled AutoCAD and the problem still exist.  Does anyone have the same problem?  Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Do you get error messages in your "Plot and Publish Details"?

Are you background publishing?

Are you publishing from SSM?

Are you using the built-in DWG-to-PDF print driver?

Thanks for the questions to help me clarify the problem.

1. I did not get any error messaes in "Plot and Publish Details" and the first page always get plotted.

2. I am using background publishing (do you guys recommand this function?)

3. I am publishing from publish option (File/Publish) not the Sheet Set Manager.  Prior to plotting, I create different page setup.

4. For pdf plotting, I'm using the built-in DWG-to-PDF print driver.

1. So Plot and Publish Details just acts like you tried to print one page and it was successful.

2. I do NOT recommend this. If I need to "background" publish a set and work on something else, I launch a second session of CAD and let it run a normal publish, while working in the other session.

4. So is your pagesetup set to the PDF driver, or are you overriding this by "Publishing to PDF"

5. Check out the PUBLISHCOLLATE sysvar. What is yours set to?

In publish option.  It's set to publish to: plotter names in page setup.  I tried to set it to PDF but still only 1st page is plotted.

PUBLISHCOLLATE is 1.

This might seem like a stupid question...but....are you highlighting all of the tabs you want to publish? only one printing seems to suggest only one is highlighted.

I used the publish option:

File/Publish/insert different layouts from different files.

This way, i don't need to highlight the tabs in the file.  The publish function used to work in AutoCAD 2013 without any problem till I upgraded to AutoCAD 2014.

I wonder if anyone encounter the similar issue with publish option.

Have you tried this option setting during the publish? 2013-06-20 15 04 40.jpg

Hi Yong Jing,

Thanks for the reply. Publish Options was set to multi-sheet file and promopt for file name (which never promopt for file name ><).

Anyway, somehow AutoCAD 2014 works again with publishing multiple pages in both pdf and printing.

Thank you all for your replies!

I have the same issue.

Here is where it is strange. I have 2 drawing files open. One was created with ACAD 2012, the other with ACAD 2015. I can select all the layout tabs I want published (PDF or Print) in the drawing made in ACAD 2012, and all the layouts show up as expected in the publish dialog box.

I can choose 3-4 layouts tabs to do the exact same process as the other drawing, and only the 1st selected layout will show up in the dialog box.

How can 2 different drawings react differently to the same publish process?

Could upload the two dwg files to analysis? You could upload to myself or submit a Service Request.

Hi, I have same problem, select some layouts and prints only the first, the solution is easy, check the variables PICKADD, set it to "1" or "2" , save the drawing and try to publish several layouts again.

I seem to be having the same issue now. I can publish to PDF through sheet set but only if I disable Publish in Background. Now the frustrating thing is since our initial implimentation of Civil 3D 2012 this has worked FINE and has plotted and published without incident in the background, allowing me to work on other drawngs while publishing a set of say 40 drwaings.

On Monday I returned to work from the weekend and found that our IT guy had renamed our domain and for some reason my AutocCAD products all got reinstalled or set back to default everything. So I went through and set everything up once again and have stumbled upon this problem for the first time.

Is there a fix so I can get back to where I can publish in the background like before? The "disable the background publishing" work around is OK and I can deal with it if I have to, but having experienced the ability to publish in the background like the software designers intended, has spoiled me and I want it back. Any help?

Our IT guy was in yesterday messing with our server and domain, and now I can't publish multiple pages. I've tried everything listed in the previous posts to fix the issue but still can't get it to work. Did anyone figure out a solution? SCJeffro, were you able to get it to publish multiple pages?

Ok, ignore that last post. As soon as I posted that I tried publishing again and it WORKED! Apparently I just needed to put it out there in the internet world... Good luck to anyone else still having the publishing issue. Until next time. -J

I had the same issue as the original post. This suggestion was the only one that fixed it for me! Thanks. (Running AutoCAD Electrical 2018)
