Problem bij using non English letters in AutoCAD?

Hi,
I got a drawing of a house plan with Arabic fonts. In the AutoCAD editor the fonts look normal but when I tried to print the drawing, even to pdf, I got separated letters.
How can I solve that?

Thank you.

Please post a DWG and/or images to illustrate what you are describing.

How is your PDF driver set to handle fonts?
And are you using TTF or SHX fonts? My guess is the former but worth checking.

Are they actually only separated, or also printed in reverse order?

Every AutoCAD I have seen (at least since 2006, didn't try this on older ones) has printed right-to-left languages left-to-right.

I've yet to see a working solution for this on AutoCAD. I reported this as a bug, the response was essentially "yes, we know."

- anybody try this on 2015 yet?

We took a brute-force approach and installed Draftsight for those users who need to produce Arabic output.

We don't have that software.

Trying the corresponding trick on DWG to PDF.pc3 or on our Xerox printer didn't work.
