Printing through network, hp 1280, windows 7, AutoCAd 2015

similar problem as many but cannot find a solution.. 

can print through win 7 on network to hp 1280 printer but 

cannot print through autocad lt 2015. .. error says cannot find printer driver..

have tried opening new bare files and creating etrasmits but no results.. 

please help if someone solved this..

Hi,

instead of the printer-specific driver install the generic driver from HP (>>>click<<<, hopefully you see that in your language, if not search for HP universal print driver).

hi.. thanks for the quick reply..

tried the hp universal as suggested.. works from win 7 systems but prints only as A4 even if the printer is A3.. 

can install the printer on win 7 with vista 1280 driver which prints word or pdf files to A3 also but does not print auocad at all..

Anu more sugestions??

Ooops, really? This driver is recommended quite often in the forums here for HP printers with format A3.

I don't have this driver installed, so I can't tell you what settings need to be changed, but I'm quite sure that it's a question of settings, not the driver itself.

Hoping someone with that driver installed comes to this thread soon.

 Have you tried to create a new .pc3 file??

You may want to try both of HP original driver and Windows universal driver.

sorry had been missing for a few days..

how do i create a fresh pc3 file. 

have tried network printing with both 1280 original driver and pc5 universal. 

1280 prints pdf files on network / but in autocad says printer driver is missing with autocadlt
