Paperspace is grey when I plot a viewport in Realistic Shademode

I have a pointcloud that I want to plot with a titleblock around it in paperspace.

In model space I have the shademode set to realistic so I can see the detail of the pointcloud.  In paperspace I have my viewport set to realistic also.

My titleblock has colour in it and some text I have written over the viewport is also in colour.

When I plot preview everything looks ok, the pointcloud is detailed, the titleblock is colour; But once plotted (I am plotting to PDF) the pointcloud is ok but the titleblock and text are all light grey.

I have tried various settings in the PLOT dialogue box but to no avail.

Is there something I'm missing?  Surely the Plot Preview is WYSIWYG isn't it?

My Paperspace:

The Plot:

You can see that the colour of the northarrow has plotted fine, that is in model space.  It is just the colour of objects in paperspace that are grey.

I should point out I am using a .ctb that works perfectly fine when plotting a viewport that is in 2D wireframe.

PREVIEW is what AutoCAD is sending to your driver: so, what is your driver and it's settings?
What are your plot settings?
What is the viewport, not modelspace, display setting?
