No snap points available

AC 2015, Win 7 64

I created the attached model and sections yesterday and everything went great. However

Now that I need to add/edit some parts, everything is going wrong.

If I try to add/move anything, I cannot select any snap points. The parts say they are solids but the seem more like blocks.

Does the sectionplane command and/or the generate section somehow change things?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I even tried a reinstall of the software, thinking something went wrong.

In your example, was this drawing created in AutoCAD 2014 initially, and then opened and edited in AutoCAD 2015?

(When I tested this in a new 2014 drawing, osnaps worked fine. And same in a new 2015 drawing. But when I open the existing 2014 drawing in 2015, I experience the 2D osnaps not working.)
