Newbie- Need help with a drawing exercise, please?

Hi, Please can I ask for some advice to go about drawing an exercise I have been given from my college: The drawing exercise pages are here: http://i199.photobucket.com/albums/aa214/craigten/EXAMA.jpg http://i199.photobucket.com/albums/aa214/craigten/EXAMB.jpg http://i199.photobucket.com/albums/aa214/craigten/EXAMC.jpg http://i199.photobucket.com/albums/aa214/craigten/EXAMD.jpg The problem I am having is where I am supposed to put a chamfer of, according to the exercise drawing, '1 x 1'. I have included a screenshot of where I am at the moment (The arrow points to the area that I am supposed to put the chamfer) Please can I ask for a bit of advice for a newbie? Thank you in advance.

I do not see any dwg attachments in this thread.

Do you?

Try with a different browser.

If it still doesn't work then right click on the file name and select Send to Compressed (zipped) Folder and then attach the resulting *.zip file of the dwg file.

I'm sorry for this. I go to 'Browse', then choose the file and then 'Add attachment' and then it does not seem to upload.

What problem are you having placing the Chamfer?

I type Chamfer and hit Enter.   (Distance already indicates 1x1.)

Click the two lines.

(is your 28.5 correct?)

Apologies, it appears that the measurements were not originally set to 1x1. My mistake.

Here is something I am really struggling with-

I have to draw this screw:

And, unfortunately, this is what I am getting:

Neither of the cut off points (I have put in red) fit exactly as per the drawing exercise and I can't see where I am going wrong?

1.Select surface face
2.Select chamfer size unit (I.e. 1/2")
3.Select other chamfer size unit (I.e. 1/2")
4.Select first edge, then select second edge
5.Chamfer should appear automatically!
