When I move or align 3D-objects, after choosing a base point, autocad shows the moving object at the cursor and it is hiding the object where i want to snap to. I don't see the exact snapping point anymore.
This does not happen when i use the wireframe visual style, but then it is difficult to see the right point to snap to.
Is there a way preventing to show the moving object dynamically at the cursor?

Hi,

What visual style do you speak about?
May be I missed something, but when I don't see a point I change my view/viewpoint.
Can you show a sample that describes when you don't see the snap-point (and let us know what version of AutoCAD you use)?

Are you using the align or 3dalign command or are you using move command?

I only have the problem with 3dalign, not with align.
OK, i can use align instead of 3dalign, 🙂
(but the problem still exists with 3dMove)
Thx Bart K
It happens in all visual styles, except the wireframe style.
eg: see attachment.
I want to place the cylinder on top of the box.
I want the center of the bottom face of the cylinder on a specific edge of the little hole on top of the box.
When using the move command, i don't see the hole of the box anymore, the cylinder "moving preview" hides the top of the box.
Hi,
well, I see 😉
Besides of a transparent visual style you may also try to disable sysvar DRAGMODE.
