Mouse Jumping/Glitch

I have done a lot of searching through previous mouse glitch related topics/threads and have come up with no solutions for my specific problem, so here we go:

-On AutoCAD 2013 using .dwg

-Mouse jumps around, is slow, and glitches

-Happens on exisiting drawings as well as blank, new drawings

-Just started to happen 2 days ago, i have had zero issues before then

-Using a Logitech M305 mouse

-When using touch pad mouse the glitching lightens up, but is still there

-On a Dell laptop using 64-bit Windows 7, Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2670QM CPU @ 2.20GHz with 8.00GB RAM (7.90GB useable)

PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Something else that i have noticed is that if I move the mouse continuously for about 10-20 seconds, the glitching is reduced and eventually quits. That is until I click on something, then I have to go through the whole ordeal again until it stops. Such a pita.

The M305 is wireless -- try going with a wired mouse instead.  I've head reports that usb 3 can cause problems with wireless peripherals.

Do you have Dynamic Input on? Mine was kinda jumpy until I turned DI off.

Just tried a hardlined mouse. The issue persisted, but was not as severe. I am still experiencing a lot of glitching and lag. Again, I had ZERO issues up until 2 days ago. Nothing changed during those two days that i am aware of. One day it worked fine, the next it didnt. Im stumped.

Yes, dynamic input is on, but I used it frequently before with ZERO issues.

System Restore before it.

Windows could have updated your laptop.

Move the mouse off the Shag rug. Smiley Surprised

I was going to suggest making sure the lens is clean if a laser or optical mouse but since it is happening across multiple meece that would not seem the case.

Are you sure MS did not provide you with some new and improved software for the mouse in the last couple of days?

Might be worth a look to see if an update like that occured. I went back to a previous versions software when the newer version proved less than worthy.

if running the logitech Setpoint, try un-installing that.  if you don't have it running, try installing and see if that helps.

updated the mouse, cleaned the lens, installed Setpoint, Uninstalled Setpoint and this issue is STILL occuring

'K, here's my next guess.  Somewhere in the setpoint software there's a setting to turn down the resolution of the mouse - I'm not at a machine with setpoint right now, but on my home box I eventually got around to finding that control and reducing the resolution.  On that box there was a noticeable improvement - the cursor was less twitchy and it was easier to click on the point I wanted without the crowsshairs jittering around.
