Module Program Directory

When I start up my AutoCad 2013 I get the followiing message -

"Module Program Directory does not exist> May need to reinstall"  What is the MPD and how does one reinstall it?  The program seems to be running OK but that msg. is a bit distrubing.

The 2013 is part of the Product Design Suite Professional and is running on a Lenovo S-30/Win 7 Pro.

Thanks

Hi,

am I right that you run AutoCAD Mechanical?

If so you have the choice of starting AutoCAD with 2 different profiles, do you get this message in every of these 2 profiles?

If you are running plain AutoCAD and you have not done too much customization you might try to reset the AutoCAD profile (Windows start menu ==> Autodesk ==> AutoCAD 2013 ==> Reset settings to default)

Thanks for the response Alfred -

I am running AutoCAD 2013 as the "vanilla" version of Mechanical since
that, incredibly, is the only way to run AutoCAD in the Product Design
Suite Professional. A fact that I find difficult to understand.

Anyway, the program has always been a pain to use - I do everything in
3D and am in the process of learning Inventor but meanwhile I have to
get some work done. Since I had somuch trouble getting AutoCAD 2013 to
work in the first instance, I am very reluctant to mess around with it.
For instance, it does NOT show up in the list of Autodesk programs if I
go to the control panel and try to reload/fix it. I have done little
customization and have that incorporated ina template file which
probably would not be effected by a resetting the stupid thing.

Any chance I could talk you into using Team Viewer and locking on to my
system?

Hi,

No, does not make sense as I don't know Mechanical. So I think it's better to get in contact with people knowing it better/best from there: >>>the forum for Mechanical<<<

That sounds like either a defect installation or very limited user permissions. Have you asked your admin to get (for a few days for testing) local admin-right?

If all is 3D, then joining Inventor will be the best decission. If you have a lot of work then get a training and start with it. Waiting for the day you "have time to learn" might be waiting forever ... and that is really the wrong decission. 😉

Good luck, - alfred -
