Is there a possibillity to add a material to a 2D-polyline. I can add a material in the properties-section but I don't see the material on the screen.
I need to make a quick impression with some material added to a 2D floorplan.

Are you talking about adding a material to a closed pline, so that the area surrounded by the pline renders with that material?
If so, it doesn't work that way. You could convert the closed pline to a REGION using the REGION conmmand, and apply a material to the resulting entity.
Hi,
welcome @forums.autodesk.com !
A polyline is not a 3D-object, and as long as it does not represent at least 3-dimensional faces it can't be rendered and if it can't be rendered it can't show materials.
If you assign a thickness to your polyline then there are renderable surfaces on the display and that will then give material effects (depending on the visual style you have activated).
If you have a closed polyline and you want to have it filled you can either use command _EXTRUDE to make a 3D-solid or e.g. _REGION (as mentioned by JGerth) or command _PLANESURF to get a surface (like) area that can represent a material in shaded modes.

Perhaps you only need a Hatch pattern.
