Linking Field to Viewport Annotation Scale - Incorrect Scale

It appears if if i try to link a field to annotation scale name it will not select based ib the annotation scale name, but based on the viewport scale that matches the first name it finds..

See example dwg.

Scale list looks like so.. they both have the scale ratio.. different names

map to field

Basically If I try to link viewport scale like below.. Even though I have selected use scale name.. it doesnt display the corrrect scale nameannoscale1.png

The 'preview' in the FIELD pop-up doesn't match your PROPERTIES setting, why? What changed in between the two screenshots? Did you remember to REGEN or REGENALL to update the FIELD?
If I change your viewport scale to anything other than the ones you added the FIELD updates correctly (1:1000 or 1:1,000 m or any I add to the file).

And why do you have one scale actually called 1:NOT THE CORRECT SCALE?

of course it wil ldisplay correctly if you pick any other scale..

This is the exact error... if you have 2 "SCALE NAMES" that have the same "SCALE RATIO" it doesnt know how to pick the correct one..

Thats why i have the wierd scale.

It is picking based on scale ratio not scale name!!!

Hi Kapanther,

I see your point. Out of curiosity, if you use 1:# it will come out correctly. Is there a reason why you are using "Use scale name"?

On complex drawings we will use sometimes two scale names (same scale) for example ,1:1000 Stage 1, 1:1000 Stage 2. I am aware this could be achieved with layers. but then i would need to turn 6 layers into 12 layers etc..Tons easier to just use annovisibility to control.
