Hiding Dynamic Blocks

I have opened an exported .dwg file from Vectorworks.  I have been able to hide most items I wish to.   My difficulty is that I have (what I think from reading and Youtube) is dynamic blocks (light instruments).  They are on a layer that is turned off, yet they are still visible.  I've played around in the block editor, but I really don't know what I'm doing.  If need be I can delete the light instruments, but I'd rather not.  Can anyone let me know if there is a command to hide all blocks?  I tried to use the properties editor to change the color to white so they would disappear.  That didn't work.   I've searched help files and have not been able to come up with anything.

Thanks much,

Anthony

A block that has several layers incorporated and placed on layer  CHAIRS and turned OFF will only turn off the layer that it is on and not the other layers that are in the block.  If you freeze the layer it will hide the block completely.

Be judicious in the layer setup of blocks.

Also, if you want and it fits in your setup, you can take the block into block editor and change all the layers to layer 0 (zero) and it will take the color and layer attributes of the layer it is placed on and you can then turn them OFF rather than freezing.

Post back if you get stuck or confused.
