I forgot the system variable that defines whether to use hatch pattern to trim an object
I like it when hatch lines do not participate in trimming objects, the initial option in autocad 2014 is that they do (like in much older versions).
Does anybody knows? I know it's a system variable but forgot the nameā¦
Thanks for the quick answer, it's not in the list.
I'll try to compare variables in a computer where it's like I want it to be...
When you start your trim command, press enter to make everything a cutting line. Then in your command line select "Edge" and select "Extend". Then select "Crossing" and try to trim your hatch.
Same problem here... this feature is getting very annoying
I opened 2002 and it does the same thing. I always select the boundary rather than the hatch for that trim operation.

Hi @jmidd3374,
I am able to trim objects by elements in the hatch pattern. I have attached my system variables you that you can compare with yours.
