Fileting solids

Hey guys,

still pretty new to AutoCAD, having a problem filleting the edge of a cylinder.

For some reason, I've tried to fillet both sides of the shape but an error occurs... No matter what radius i add, I cannot round both sides at once. The only thing that has succeeded is by rounding only one side of the shape, however when i try to round the other side, another error occurs.

I've attached a screeshot to help explain...

Any idea what this may be?

-David

If you are talking about the platter shape it looks like the radius on top does not leave enough material to fillet the bottom. In this case I would draw a 2D polyline of a section cut of half the platter shape with the rounded end already on it then revolve it.

Fillet using half the thickness of the platter as the radius worked fine for me in AutoCAD 2013.
