Dynamic Block clipped boundary doesn't work as expected.

I found an interesting dynamic block. It has a clipping boundary  but you can drag the 'leg' out of the boundary. How can I make such block?

See attached dwg file.

The dynamic blocks forum may be a better location for you to ask/repost in:

Not having used Clipping Boundaries what makes that unique about the DynBlk?

In my LT this looks and behaves as I would expect (except for the extra non assigned Actions).

The sample block has a clip boundary as shown in red dotted line below:

To my understanding, everything should be constrained inside the block clipping boundary.

But in this sample, you can drag the stretch grip point toward right hand side and the section symbol will be beyond the clipping boundary, as shown in the next image.

If I remove the clipping boundary, and assign it a new clipping boundary, it becomes normal, ie. the extended 'leg' is properly trimmed at the clipping boundary.

It looks strange to me.

Ahh, thanks for the explanation.

Could it be a Draw Order thing that the DynBlk is on top?

The only item that I can see that is odd is are the different types of Frames (IMAGE, PDF, DWF, DGN, ...) are set to different variables (0,1,2)

Otherwise I cannot see the Clip wwhile in the BE yet it will move with the DynBlk when the DynBlk is moved.

Isn't it just a case of the clip is turned off? Just type "Clip". Then Select the block. Then "On"..

That's it. Thanks for helping me understand how the Clip works.

Thank you. I've never tried setting clipping boundary 'off'.
It's great to learn.
