Cut Paste not landing on SNAP

I have a problem when I paste a block, that it is off the snap value by a small like 0.000099939.
I know that Cut with Base Point will work, but why not the following:
Did messup my original drawing template?
Thanks.

Test Setup:
set the dimention precision to 8 places, DIMDEC 8.
set the SNAP On with the value 0.0625 (any)
draw a box 3 x 8 (lines or pline)
draw X & Y dimensions from one of the box's corners to someware in space
Notice the nice numbers are to the snap value.

Cut (ctrl-c) the box and Paste (ctrl-v) it someware in space.
draw x & y dimensions from one of the box's corners to someware in space
Notice the values are Not exactly on snap.
End.

Hi, try typing in UNITS and see what your precision is set to for lenght. change it to 8 places and see if it makes a differance.

UNITS precision length is set to 8 places.

You need to use COPYBASE and snap to a corner for a base point.

Not sure why it does it but for some reason pasting off the clipboard does not honor the snap setting. If I just copy the box, the dim will have the right value but not doing a ctrl v.

The UNITS does not show the small value change. Its only when i modify the DIMStyle units precision to 8 places and measure or dimension the lines to the empty work area. I was expecting the objects to land on the snap setting increments. It appears on screen, but its actually off by a little.

you're not using the clipboard to cut and paste in the same drawing are you?

I use the keyboard ctrl-c ctrl-x ctrl-v, the classic toolbar icons and Ribbon and get the same offset when pasting. Even within the same drawing or into another drawing.

I was hoping to avoid the extra mouse clicks and realigning with the snap.

The standard cut/copy and paste is just not reliable.

I will just use the cut/copy with BASEPOINT CTRL-SHIFT-C from now on.

Thanks guys for your replies.
