Cannot create a new viewport in AUTOCAD 2015

Hello Everybody,

I'm used working with AUTOCAD 2014, but now we switched to 2015 and I started getting problems with the settings of my viewports in the layouts.

I cannot ad or edit a layout. I tried making new templates and new drawings, but it did not change. And the panel stays unabled.

Can anybody help me, or is this problem already solved before?

With kind regards,

Philip

You need to pick the Layout tab and not the View tab.

If something I wrote can be interpreted two ways, and one of the ways makes you sad or angry, I meant the other one.

The title of your post says you cannot create a new viewport, but the body of your message says you cannot add or edit a layout.

Viewports and layouts are two different things. Can you explain more clearly exactly what is not working in 2015 for you?

BTW: I'm using 2013, 2014, and 2015 and the viewport and layout commands all work the same AFAIK.

Command: Layout > New to create a new layout
Command: Mview > to create a new viewport
