Base View Barrier & Base View Copy

Using autocad 2014 2015. Using the base view command. Once I have established a model in paper space, base view creates a barrier around that object.

Is there any way to shrink that barrier, or even turn it off? But maintain the model in paperspace.

Also I have the need to copy a base view view onto other tabs, w/o having to re establish the model.

Any suggestions ?

Um... the old fashioned MVIEW might give you more control?  You are talking about 3D objects created in ModelSpace, right?

The barrier, or border, that surrounds the view object should be based upon the size and scale of the object itself.  Would it be possible to provide either the file in question or a screenshot showing the described behavior?

In regards to copying a view object from one layout to another, I do not believe this is possible since the view objects are linked to each other.  You can verify this by using the MOVE command to change the location of one of the views (front, side, or top).  However, you can delete a single view.  A workaround to your request would be to set up the view objects int he arrangement you like, then made a copy of that layout and delete the view objects that are not needed.
