BAK

Whenever I need to open a BAK file, I just change the file extension from BAK to DWG, but this time my file folder is showing an icon representing a BAK file, how do I change it to DWG?

Hi,

This is a windows explorer setting. Open Folder Options by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Appearance and Personalization, and then clicking Folder Options, then search for Hide extensions for known file types and uncheck this option.

Without an image, I can't be sure I fully understand the issue, but this sounds like a Windows thing, where it sometimes just doesn't keep up with certain changes.  I would expect it to resolve itself eventually, particularly if you re-start your machine.

Dear Sir:

Yes, you are totally right, it was a windows issue. Thanks for taking the
time to respond, your time and effort is greatly appreciated.

Best regards,
