Autocad 2015 graphics issue

Hi, i am facing some graphics issue that some previous threads have mentioned. but i think mine is slightly different. In the two image i have attached, it shows cursor tails that lags behind and the other shows the graphics properties when switched on. i am aware that every option is checked but the same problem exist even when all is unchecked. Furthermore, when graphics acceleration is switched off, the cursor flickers instead of leaving a trails behind a trail when i move around. Also, yea i am using a switchable graphics but the graphics property shown in autocad is off my dedicated graphics and not integrated graphics (pretty sure running on dedicated graphihcs would promise greater preformance)

Running on Amd radeon HD 8800m, windows 8.1

TL;DL

Running on Amd radeon HD 8800m, could not find hotfix anywhere in forum or google

Without knowing what you've tried in other threads here, I'd first suggest trying to set LINEFADING to OFF.  If that fails, try setting LINESMOOTHING to OFF.  Beyond that, you may have to try turning Hardware Acceleration off to see if that helps.  You are using an unsupported consumer card, so that could be more problematic for you.

Edit:  Sorry, just re-read your post.  Looks like you've tried most of what I wrote.  Still try LINEFADING set to OFF with LINESMOOTHING set to ON, though.

Also, you might try to see if running the latest driver helps.  There is a newer driver for your card on AMD's site here:

Tried linefading and line smoothing. On hindsight, its the same as unchecking smooth line display. Could you relinkn me the amd driver webste? i could not access the link you posted. Not sure whether the problem lies with my browser or the link. Also, i have signed up for the beta service pack as suggested. hope it works!

1000665:

LINESMOOTHING is the same as "Smooth Line Display", but LINEFADING is a subcategory of LINESMOOTHING and is not offered as an option on the GRAPHICSCONFIG panel.

The AMD link I posted above works for me in Firefox and Internet Explorer, but if you still can't get it to work, just go to the AMD website and follow the steps on the Drivers + Download Center page.

I got Amd website site to work and got the relevant updates done. however, it does not seem to alleviate the issue im facing. Nonetheless, could you provide more details on line fading? i did a autodesk help search but could not find any?

Well, again, you're using an unsupported card, so it may be harder to find a resolution for you.  If you have a subscription with Autodesk, I'd recommend opening a support ticket with them directly:  https://subscription.autodesk.com/.  I don't personally know what else you can try at this point if you've already tried everything in this thread.  If you're not on subscription, perhaps someone else will have some more ideas.

Regarding LINEFADING, here's what I got from an Autodesk rep, since the system variable appears to be undocumented:

LINEFADING, Determine if line display will fade when reaches certain density,
ON – Line display will fade
OFF – Line display will not fade

It's a new sysvar introduced in ACAD2015.
