Autocad 2014 crash on startup screen

Hi! i need some assistant with this issue thats been bugging me for a week, ill break it down:

I recently gave my windows a factory restore (fresh start windows original copy), I had no issues with autodesk software before the windows fresh start (i use Revit and 3Dmax too), i even installed and used Autocad 2014 on my laptop before the restore and it ran just fine, problem is now after the windows restore Autocad crashes everytime i open it, installation was smooth and succesfull with no error warninings whatsoever; the problem comes when i start Autocad 2014 for the first time, the initialization window opens and starts loading the files but then (everytime) crashes and freezes my laptop forever, not even the task manager is posible to open

My Specs:

Laptop: Alienware M14x R2

Processor: intel i-7 @2.30 ghz

16 gb RAM

Graphics: Nvidia GeForce 650M 2GB

running on Windows 7 64-bit

after the restore i downloaded the latest drivers for my graphics card, so that shouldnt be the issue, i also switched the processing tu GPU only.

i already tried lots of solutions i saw on other posts, but none seems to suit my need, i tried the .NET framework thing, switching off the windows Aero theme, but the problem remains the same, it still freezes completely my laptop everytime i try to run Autocad 2014, i even tried installing Autocad 2013, Autocad 2011 and Revit 2014 but the issue is the same in all of them they freeze at startup without any pop up error warnings, just freezes.

I'll appreciate any kind of advice/solution to my problem and thank you for reading this post!

I recommend the process explorer to analyze where AutoCAD stops working.

You can download from microsoft http://technet.microsoft.com/de-de/sysinternals/bb896653.aspx

Is a free tool.

Read the docu to filter all unwanted processes out and only spy the AutoCAD process.

Thanks for the tip!, but the system completely freezes so its not really possible to see which process fails.

Hi,

>> but the system completely freezes

Then my suggestion is you have troubles with hardware or drivers (or driver settings). Otherwise it's very unusual nowadays (for Win7) that one process blocks the whole workstation/laptop.

Look to the control panel to system and search for devices that might be "unknown" currently or look for updated drivers for them. If nothing of that helps restart your windows in diagnostic mode and start AutoCAD then ...hanging?

I FOUND THE SOLUTION!!!

First of all you need to uninstall every version of AutoCad you installed before, and delete every file that is associated with AutoCad, that means and those files that are located in Regedit, here is  a link how to do uninstall all that and delete all these files:

http://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-to-...

And then after you uninstalled everything and deleted all files, you install your latest version and everything works.
