My company does not allow downloads to be accessed. I am on subscription, how to I get AutoCAD to sent me updates by shipment? Can't seem to see anything on their website.
Solved! Go to Solution.
On the subscription page, if you are on subscription, that option exists HERE.
From the online store, during purchase, I believe you can still select the 'boxed' version.
Or from a 3rd party reseller like Amazon, there is a boxed version.
If you are not on subscription or buying online, you will need to order a disk (may not be free) either from a local reseller in your region or possibly through http://autodeskdocandmedia.com/
It's how the world has changed now, all 'green' and not wasteful like AOL was back in the day.
For the future, its probably a good idea for those who are responsible for updating and installing AutoCAD to have rights to download the software. Its kind of a job requirement...
The USB option is the small packaging is green enough for me. This "download only" is a joke. Considering how much the price has risen over the years I don't think it's too much to ask to have my software on a some readily available media. I am now on day 2 of the download install process and the rest of the employees are not thrilled about me hogging all the bandwidth on our little T1. Tried to leave it running overnight, but when I got in this morning only Inverntor and TrueView had managed to install. So here I am hoping it will get it all this time. Only 14 hours remaining! Please reconsider the way our subscriptions are delivered in the future.

Yes well with our new security system we can not install any software on our work stations, including acad!
so I guess we are going to be in for fun and games.
