Hello forum,
I've installed LT 2014 and I get the following message when I try to run it :
I've tried repairing and reinstalling and no luck. At first it would load up but the cursor would flicker showing the loading icon (circle), now not even that. I am running AutoCAD 2010 as well with no problems, would that cause conflicts?
Desktop Info :
PC : HP Envy 700-074
OS : Windows 8.1 Enterprise
Processor : Intel Core i5-4430 @ 3.00HGz
Systemn : 64-bit
Memory : 12 GB DD3 of RAM
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance
I've been through these steps before, no help there. They relate to downloading Windows 8, running third party security software, and I have installed the MV 2010 C++ already. None of my startups or Windows Services is causing any conflicting problems. Problem still persists.
I wasn't able to uninstall through the Control Panel or CCleaners' uninstall tool. The ACAD uninstaller wouldn't run. So I ran Microsoft's Fixit tool and that didn't really do anything. The ACAD uninstaller wasn't working at all. So, I then ran CCleaner (cleaner) and also ran it to clean up the registry a few times. I then was able to uninstall through CCleaner.
I installed ACAD LT and all looked promising but the following showed up:

I had to repair the installation as this error relates to the start up splash screen in autocad.
I'm still getting the same message about the missing DLL file but now CAD does opened up and the cursor keeps flashing with the loading icon on the cursor.
I'm seeing an update for ACAD but after downloading it, the update can't install or run because I'm missing the same DLL file.
Graphics Card Driver is up to date and I have also switch the Hardware Acceleration option on and off, no luck there.
This new dll problem is related to the Splash Screen shown on start up: only advise I see posted is to repair reinstall.
- As a test, create a new local Windows user account onto the computer and give it administrator permissions then log into the computer with newly created test account and see if AutoCAD launches properly under this user account as well.
- If AutoCAD also crashes under the test user account, you will need to do a complete uninstall and re-install following these instructions: http://usa.autodesk.com/getdoc/id=TS45252 (reinstall for XP/Vista users: http://usa.autodesk.com/getdoc/id=TS75218)
- More complete .NET fix may be necessary ahead of the uninstall/reinstall process: http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/Installation-Licensing/NET-Framework-Cleanup-Tool-for-Unhandled-Except...
I had taken care of the splash screen issue. I ran 2014 LT from a different user account and the problem was there too. I did a complete uninstall and (manually) deleted every file/folder associated with Autodesk, even the hidden folders as outline the posted link. I did the registry cleanup. I uninstalled Acad 2010 as well, rebooted pc. I reinstalled LT 2014 and I'm still getting the same issues about the missing DLL file. I've been at this for weeks and I have no clue what else to do next.
You need to install new version of DirectX or download missed .dll library file from http://fix4dll.com/mfc100u_dll and add it into the right directory. This is the fastest way to solve it without installing any additional tools or software. I'm sure you'll fix it easily. Good luck.
Mfc100u.dll is a dependency for multimedia games or applications, and the errors display the .dll file is either corrupted or missing. You need to go and download Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 SP1 Redistributable package and install it.
