AutoCAD 2013 LT

I have a drawing that is displaying the origin with XYZ and the drawing seems dimmed. It also is running very slow.  I feel like I've gotten into an editing mode and was unaware.  I've tried chanding views and UCS.  When I open other drawings things are normal and faster. Any ideas?!?! screen shot.jpg

Check on the 'View' tab and change your view to 2D wireframe. Looks like you are currently in a 3D view which would explain the lag.

That sounds promising, where in the view tab? I went through and didn't see anything about 2D Wireframe.

By the look of it you need the 'Visual Styles' board on your ribbon. Once you have this you'll have a pull down list of different views. Yours is currently 3D hidden or something, it will need to be changed to 2D wireframe. Also hit the 'Top' view to change your UCS icon to as you want it.

At the command line, type in SHADEMODE <enter> 2 <enter>

-Or-

Type in VISUALSTYLES, which will open the visual styles palette, then click on 2D wireframe.

Thank you! Shademode worked!
