Auto CAD 2015 Freezing

Up until the other day my Auto CAD 2015 was working properly with no errors.  Recently though it has started to freeze any time I try to make a modification to a drawing.  It doesn't matter if it is just adding a line or copying part of a drawing to make a duplicate.  I have to go and use windows task manager in order to shut down Auto CAD or let the program sit for about a half hour or so for it to work.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Windows System restore back to a month it all worked may help.
Then examine what's changed on your system or network recently, they may be the culprit.

Shot in the dark here, but you didn't change SELECTIONEFFECT to 0 by any chance, did you?  This is known to cause some performance issues in AutoCAD 2015.
