Alright so here is my task: I need to align a drawing with a pointcloud. The drawing was made using a series of survey points which I don't have access to.
I have limited knowledge of AutoCad. Thus far I have tried using the 3DAlign command. It seemed to work very well at first. But when I changed views I realized that it had only rotated the point cloud about the z-axis (the one normal to the screen) and only had moved it in the xy-plane. Essentially it turned out something that was not level and that was vertically offset.
I have been really struggling with this task for quite some time and any help is appreciated!
