Somehow I turned off the option to have the filename added to the layout name in the Publish dialog box.
Now when I add a file it only shows the layout tab name.
Does someone know how to turn it back on?
I have looked but cannot find the answer, I even tried Acad 2014 but couldn't find out how I turned it off.
Thanks,
Rick

Hi Rick,
Please can you check if next document helps to solve the problem?

I did not want to set my customization back to default if going to the regestry would fix it so I went to the regestry first.
Changing the value in the regestry fixed the problem.
I still can't figure out how I turned it off, I know I did somewhere. Anyway now I know how to turn it back on.
Thanks,
Rick
Hi,
I'm happy to see that the problem is solved.
Usually this happens when importing a profile from a previous release, that was imported from a previous..... There is no option to change this behavior from inside AutoCAD (at least as far as I know).
Cheers

Thank you!
Finally a method of disabling the prefix during PDF publishing:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Autodesk\AutoCAD\R19.1\ACAD-xxxx:XXX\Profiles\<<Profile name>>\Dialogs\AcPublishDlg\
PrefixedWithFileName=0
I have incorporated this registry setting in our comapny profile ARG file;-)
Keeps me wondering:
Why is there no filename format option in the Publish dialog?
We have a C# routine which renames all the lay-out names based on drawing number and revision from the custom title block.
It's frustrating that generated PDF's have to be manually edited (remove the DWG filename prefix!) to have the correct filename.
