3d Grips missing

Hi -

I have a persistent problem with 3D grips missing (or at least invisible and not functioning).  Both my co-worker and I are not power ususers, but we do use AutoCAD Architecture 2010 every day, all day designing homes for our clients.

We took a free trial of AutoCAD 2014 to see if it is worth upgrading, and when I import our DWGs, everything is fine except our 3D walls do not have grips.  The flattened lines work fine.

Can anyone think of a solution or reason?  I wouldn't want every floor plan we've ever worked on to be non functional if we upgrade to 2014.

Thanks

Note that this problem only occurs when I am not on the network & working in my office. If I am working from home (or elsewhere) the 3D grips disappear.

You took a free trial of AutoCAD 2014 instead of "2014 Arch", maybe that's why.

No, it turns out the same thing is happening on ACA 2010 on my laptop.

If you ask the Arch group, they probably know.

How do you import your drawing? Which steps are you following?
