3D object with unconnected edges.

Hi there,

In the attached file there is a single 3D solid object. But there seems to be several unconnected lines, out in space, that are part of the object, but uneditable. By selecting individual edges (on the problem geometery) edges on the solid are also being selected.

Am I missing something, or is this just another ShapeManager issue?

It's not that i can't remodel the part, but i's like to have some idea of whats causeing this and how to avoid it in the future.

When I opened yours with DWG trueview I can see them, but after converted to 2007 format to find out what they are, they're gone. Strange thing.

Were there drawing views (VIEWBASE) in the parent drawing?

Interesting that I go into Paperspace and create a viewport and nothing there?

Interesting that acisout and acisin fixes the problem.

Which then got me to wondering - what would be the equivalent of asmout and asmin?

(opening the original dwg in Inventor also clears the problem)

Nope. I've found so many issues working with drawing views, that I've abandon that technique.

But I would be interested in understanding why you think this relevant.

So... not a kernel issue?

Corrupt file? Audit reveals nothing.

Your topic just reminded me of an unresolved "ghosting" issue, They could be related, but there are also a lot of differences.  I think Autodesk developers are probably the only one's that will be able to determine "why" it's happening.  You should send it to them, or log a support request linking to this topic.
