2d face-me objects in 3d views

Does anyone know if it's possible to have 2d face-me objects in autocad 3d views similar to the feature in feature in Sketchup, where the 2d model is always facing the camera?

Hi,

that was an option up to AutoCAD 2002 (not sure, just estimating), it was used to have e.g. trees in a scene for rendering.

AFAIK it's not an option with current releases of AutoCAD.

What would you need it for?
