The version that is compatible with the AutoCAD 2012 Family of applications was updated to interface with Google Earth in an advanced way and provide additional capabilities such as support for color.

There is always wrong scale while inserting. It could be easily reproduced. Start new drawing and set insertion units through UNITS to meters. Then IMPORTGEIMAGE, then scale to any point to have the ruler in left lower corner of earth image showing around 100 m. Then Insert button, then Enter-Enter. You'll get the Earth image inserted to drawing. Then try to measure the Ruler on the image inserted. This way I had never got the right measurement and they differed depending of the Earth region inserted. The complete mess up for me. Does anyone have this working correctly.

So why is the program that would benefit the most from this extention not supported? doesn't make sense why Civil 3D was left out.....

I'm downloading now to see...but all the documentation mentions everything except Civil 3D. And the "It's Alive In the Lab" blog specifically states Civil 3D isn't supported. http://labs.blogs.com/its_alive_in_the_lab/2011/09/updated-google-earth-extension-for-autocad-2012-f...

I know the original plugin that installs with C3D works.

I think it's just the new updated plugin that doesn't.

i am saying the new plug in does work for civil 3d 2012 even though autodesk says it doesn't

let me confirm on my install
