We had a technology preview where we extracted the Nucleus code from Maya and placed it in Revit. Now we are trying the same thing for AutoCAD.

I know the Nucleus team and AutoCAD Support were investigating some issues, but I have not yet heard how that turned out.

Just what i have been looking for! I had attempted to learn Maya, but with all of my solids already in Civil 3D it didn’t seem efficient. Looking forward to spending some time figuring out the capabilities. Thanks!

Seems to crash when you use a modified or new material. Any fixes if i need a different material? So long as i have been using one of the out of the box materials the simulation has been running through. Thanks.

Dear Scott,
I have tried to install Nucleus several times on my Revit 2012 64-bit and every time there is a message as attached. What could be the reason? I do not think it matters that my Revit version is Educational ....

The error message indicates you have an older version of the .NET runtinme on your system. I thought we fixed this issue with our November 13 update. You can get the latest .NET at:

I checked the NET version before. But I still "repaired" it from your link. Nucleus still does not want to load. The message I got this time is attached.

Dear Scott,
I lost all hope ... I still cannot install Nucleus for Revit 2012. The Net version is OK (4.0) and the error I am getting is the same as attached to one of my previous messages. Maybe some indication of the problem could be the following strange behaviour of Revit:
If Revit is open, then clicking on an. rvt or .rfa file does not open the clicked file in the running instance of Revit, but always opens another instance. What could be a reason for this and can both issues be related?
