    Very slow file

    Hi,

A drawing is almost (20 MB). It is big I don't know why? It works normal in MODEL space. But when I switch to PAPER space, or to save, print, close and open the file, it shows very slow reaction.
I made reset to the scale, cheking LTScale, deleted all un necessary objects, purge several times, UCS dynamic off, AUDIT, cheking Xref's, texts are type (shx), No layers filters. The drawing has only one layout en few viewports. (isavepercent) to 0.
But all these things did not help.
What can I do more to reduce the file size en make it faster?
    Thanks all.

Unless you have something unique drawn or referenced in the Lyaout (a raster image, or dense hatching or...), it's just your graphics card having a hard time handling the info there. No real fix.

    Which is it?

    Hi,

Beside all what I mention above, I did all kinds of (purge, pu as well -pu). In modle the space it works normal but in the  paper space  it works very slow (regenerating, save , open the drawing when it is saved on paper space, awitching from model space to paper space...etc).
    Any advice?

What are your PC and video card specs? Windows version?

Is each viewport set to anything other than SHADEMODE at 2D?

I am wondering if OP has it set to do a regen for example, on every one of the changes they noted this behavior on (behaviour in Canada; behaviour:30 in NFLD)

If by some odd chance my nattering was useful -- that's great, glad to help. But if it actually solved your issue, then please mark my solution as accepted :smileyhappy:

    2 things to try -

    1) -purge "R" for regapps "*" for all - don't confirm....

    2) check the setting of layoutregenctl - see if changing to modify regeneration setting reduces caching and speeds things up.
